Walmart is the latest in a series of baby registry companies to introduce new features in an attempt to increase the convenience and accessibility of its baby registry products.
The company announced the changes on Monday in a blog post titled “New Baby Registry Features,” which was published on the Walmart blog.
Walmart has made the changes to its new baby registry after a number of users raised concerns that the new features might make it harder for users to find and purchase new or used baby products, as well as more difficult to find information about baby related issues such as vaccinations and birth plans.
Walter J. Blanchard, Walmart’s president of global digital, said the changes were designed to give users the information they need in order to make informed purchasing decisions.
Blanchard wrote that the company is “committed to providing the best products and services for our customers” and that “all of our products and features are designed to provide our customers with a safe and convenient way to purchase baby products.”
Blanchards post did not specifically address the concerns raised by users, but he did write that the registry is designed to be as simple and easy to use as possible, and that Walmart has made changes in recent years to make it easier for users “to quickly and easily find information on new baby products or birth plans.”
Blansons post did note that “the new baby registration feature will also make it even easier to find the latest birth plans and vaccinations,” adding that “we look forward to bringing the new baby register to life.”
According to Walmart, the new registry features include:The new features will roll out over the coming months.
Users will be able to register a new account at Walmart.com/baby.
In addition, they will be presented with a list of their current registered accounts and will be given the option to create a new birth plan or birth date.
Users will also be able choose from a variety of birth options, including a birth certificate, a pre-natal certificate, an ultrasound, a birth diary, a photo album, a video diary, or a registry of friends and family.
Users can also access the new registration by accessing the Walmart Baby Hub on the website, by visiting Walmart.in, by phone, or by sending an email to [email protected]
The Walmart baby register also includes new features that are designed for people who are looking for information about newborns, including information on a birth history, health conditions, vaccinations, birth planning, and health insurance.
These are designed primarily for parents who want to have the information readily available to them.
The new baby registries are a welcome addition to Walmart’s efforts to give more information to consumers about baby products and birth settings.
Walmart previously launched the Baby Hub in February to help parents with health insurance information and help parents obtain birth plans through Walmart’s parent-to-child program.
