We all know that naming a baby is a little like naming your favorite TV show, a new study suggests.
A team of researchers at the University of California, Berkeley, used the names of over 3,000 baby boys and girls to come up with baby names, with the aim of finding the most popular baby names among baby boys.
They found that baby boys named after popular shows, like “Bachelor” and “The Bachelor,” had the highest numbers of baby names.
The researchers then looked at the names used by baby girls, looking for the same trends.
While they were able to identify some trends, the authors of the study cautioned that the results shouldn’t be taken as a definitive guide for naming a new baby.
“Baby names are a very personal thing and the choices you make about them, and how you share them with others, can impact how your children react to your name,” the researchers wrote in a press release.
In other words, don’t assume that a name is a “perfect” choice for your baby.
